Tondi and Mandrake Flowers (2012-2016)
Grouped under the title Les Fleurs de mandragore, more than two hundred and fifty small panels of various sizes, some adorned with petals, are arranged on the wall. They thus create a multitude of interstices and rhythmic spaces, treated as a micro-landscape punctuated by black touches and white voids, as if each of these points were carried by a breath.
Composed of wall sculptures and arranged in a circular space to recreate a serial dynamic, the“Tondi”draw the eye toward the center by reimagining the pictorial field. These works represent movement and transformation. The ensemble is arranged to evoke an alternating dialogue where the circular layout allows for both horizontal and vertical reading, creating a rhythmic correspondence.
