Chronic Memories (2000)
The installation Les Mémoires chroniques takes the form of a vast mosaic composed of over 250 small panels, reliefs, and miniature sculptures that seem to project themselves into real space. Set to the rhythm of an evolving narrative, each component of the mosaic is defined in relation to the others.
The chronological order of the arrangement is significant and revealing, as the viewer is encouraged to traverse the work as if deciphering the pages of a book one by one. This large installation, created over the course of days, is a visual and formal variation on a daily diary.
