The Clouds (2016-2019)

Symbolically, the image of the labyrinth perfectly describes the opposition between stillness and movement. Perceived as a perspective filled with confusion, this complex configuration takes shape as a tangle “where anyone who ventures in may lose themselves beyond inconceivable exits.” Jorge Luis Borges

Through the works Le Voyage immobile and Immobilis, my work attempts to create a hypothetical journey where the duality between movement and stillness unfolds across two distinct circular spaces. The first is enclosed, dotted with petals evoking a path turning in on itself. The second symbolizes infinity, openness, and the quest for eternity. Within this subtle, silent trajectory, dark, hatched swaths, thick and dense, take shape, and the intertwined threads merge.
